Stores Technician

Ion Beam Services (UK) Ltd are recruiting an experienced Stores Technician to work initially at our site in Bathgate, Scotland then at our new site near Eurocentral (Motherwell area) from October/November. This is a 6-month fixed term contract role, although there is the possibility that it might be made permanent.

You will be assisting in the systematic packing, identification, transportation and reconciliation of thousands of parts, assemblies, consumables and tools currently held at Bathgate to our new site at Newhouse, near Motherwell.

Your role:

• Lead the packing of stores inventory at Bathgate.

• Move stock, tooling and equipment between sites.

• Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the transfer process.

• Support stores fit-out and stock location set-up at Newhouse.

• Operate material handling equipment safely.

• Ensure traceability of all transferred inventory.

Key skills:

Essential

• Previous stores or warehouse experience.

• Good organisational and inventory control skills.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance).

• Ability to lift and move materials safely.

• Strong attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience using Sage Professional / Sage 200 ERP.

• Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments.

• Knowledge of inventory control and stock management principles.

• Experience supporting relocation or warehouse set-up activities.

• ERP Administration

• Booking stock in and out using Sage.

• Maintaining inventory records.

• Supporting stock audits and reporting.
